3rd Young Researchers Meeting in Probability, Numerics and Finance

Organization

The conference starts Wednesday 29th at 9am and ends Friday 1st at 2pm. The social events are on Thursday evening.

Location : Université du Maine, Le Mans, France.

Accommodation for the nights of Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday will be organized by the conference in a centrally-located hotel.

For speakers, the conference can cover the accommodation (with breakfasts), lunches and the social events of Thursday, as well as a participation toward the travel expenses (currently estimated at 100 EUR for people coming from France and 250 EUR for people coming from abroad).

How to get there

If you fly to Paris

• From Charles de Gaulle Airport :
  • There are trains to Le Mans from the airport's train station.
  • The simplest way to Paris is to take the RER B south.
  • There are also coaches to the city centre.

• From Orly Airport :
  • You can take the OrlyVal train to Anthony and then the RER B, either north to Paris, or south to Massy-Palaiseau.
    (This can be bought as a single airport-to-station ticket).

The RER B (suburban train) and metros in Paris are run by the RATP.

Going Le Mans by train

There are regular trains to Le Mans departing from Gare Montparnasse (inside Paris), from the station Massy-Palaiseau-TGV south of Paris (not too far from Orly airport), and from the Charles de Gaulle airport.
Frequency : up to hourly. Journey time : 1h to 1h45 with a TGV (high-speed train), depending on the departing station.

In Le Mans : from the train station to the hotel

Participants will be hosted at Hotel Première Classe, 40, rue du Vert Galant, 72000 Le Mans.
The hotel can be reached on foot from Le Mans main train station (roughly 10-15 min walk), or by tram: take the tram line T1, direction Le Mans Université, and get off at the stop Eperon-Cité Plantagenêt (see map below).

In Le Mans : from the hotel to the conference venue

From the Hotel Première Classe, walk to the tram stop Eperon-Cité Plantagenêt (see first map below) and take tram T1, direction Le Mans Université (one tram every 12 mins). Get off at the stop Campus-Ribay. The journey lasts about 10 minutes. The tram stops a few minutes walk from the building of Institut du Risque et de l'Assurance, the conference venue (see 2nd map and downloadable 3rd map below).
